This half term Miss Daily (ELSA) will be delivering additional sessions on healthy friendships and healthy relationships to all young people in school. We will also have Pol-Ed, which is a West Yorkshire Police education programme.Its purpose is to keep children safe by developing their understanding of risks, consequences and the law and to develop their resilience and ability to help and support each other.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Ormston School has been rated ‘Good’ in our very first Ofsted inspection! The report is a powerful recognition of the safe, supportive, and nurturing environment we have worked so hard to create.

I would like to welcome everyone back to Ormston School for I know what will be another fantastic year. We have received our draft Ofsted report and will shortly receive our final version. When this has been received, we will be in touch to arrange a parent carer meeting.

Lynn Brown, a Teaching Assistant at Ormston School, has been recognised on a national stage for her outstanding contribution to nature and community engagement—receiving a prestigious Bees’ Needs Champion Award from DEFRA.

As we approach the end of our first academic year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the many achievements and experiences that have made this year so special. We would like the opportunity to share end of year reports and discuss the progress each young person has made in person.

Sports day this year will be held at Herd Farm where young people and staff will face exciting challenges such as “the leap of faith”, “Assault Course” and “The Big Swing”. Find out more in this latest newsletter.

We’re preparing for an action-packed Sports Day at Herd Farm Activity Centre this Thursday 10th July! Pupils will be trying a variety of exciting and active challenges including a Zipline and Assault Course.
